Duquesne University is a private Catholic university located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1878 by the Congregation of the Holy Spirit and is named after Father Joseph-Bernard Duquesne, a French missionary who served in North America in the 17th century.
Duquesne offers more than 150 undergraduate and graduate degree programs through its seven schools: the McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts, the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, the Mylan School of Pharmacy, the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business, the School of Education, the School of Music, and the School of Nursing.
