"Revolutionizing Maintenance Operations with AMICE - Automatic Inspection and Maintenance of Critical Equipment"
AMICE (Automatic Inspection and Maintenance of Critical Equipment) is a research project funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 program. The project aims to develop and demonstrate an innovative solution for the automatic inspection and maintenance of critical equipment in various industries, such as energy, chemicals, and manufacturing.
The AMICE solution will be based on advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, and robotics, which will enable real-time monitoring and analysis of equipment performance, detect potential faults and failures, and predict when maintenance is required. The goal is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance operations, reduce downtime and costs, and enhance safety in the workplace.
The project consortium consists of 15 partners from 7 European countries, including industry leaders such as Siemens, ABB, and Schneider Electric, as well as research institutions and universities. The project will run for three years, from 2019 to 2022, and will involve the development of demonstrators in real-world industrial settings to validate the effectiveness of the AMICE solution.
