


Strait of Dover - Connecting England and France
Dover is a strait located in the English Channel, which separates England from France. It connects the southern part of England (Kent) with the northern part of France (Normandy). The Strait of Dover is about 21 miles (34 kilometers) wide at its narrowest point and has a maximum depth of around 450 feet (137 meters). It is an important shipping lane and a popular route for ferries and other vessels traveling between England and France.
