Townshend is a British rock band, formed in 1967 by Pete Townshend (guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist) and Roger Daltrey (lead vocalist and guitarist). The band's other members have included John Entwistle (bassist) and Keith Moon (drummer). The Who is known for its powerful live performances and innovative use of instruments such as the synthesizer and the piano.
