Turban Shells: Unveiling the Mystique of Aegeriidae Family
Aegeriidae is a family of small to medium-sized sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the order Neogastropoda. They are commonly known as the "turban shells" because of their distinctive shell shape, which resembles a turban. The family includes about 10 genera and over 50 species, found in warm, shallow waters around the world, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region.
