An isobar is a line on a graph that connects points of equal pressure. In other words, it is a line of constant pressure. Isobaric lines are used to represent atmospheric pressure on weather maps and are important for understanding the movement of air masses and the development of weather systems.
For example, if you were to look at a weather map, you might see a series of isobars that show the pressure patterns across a region. The isobars would be spaced evenly apart, with each one representing a specific pressure level.
