Understanding Outstations: Definition, Types, and Challenges

Outstation refers to a location outside of the main city or town where a person or organization has a temporary or permanent presence. It can be used to describe a branch office, a subsidiary, or a remote work location.

For example, if a company has a headquarters in New York City and a branch office in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles office would be considered an outstation.
