Understanding Peroneotibial Anatomy and Its Importance
Peroneotibial refers to the lateral (outer) aspect of the tibia, or shin bone. It is a term used in anatomy to describe the area where the tibia meets the fibula, and where the muscles of the lower leg attach. The peroneal tendons, which run down the outside of the leg and connect to the fifth metatarsal bone, also pass through this area.
