Understanding Scalene Triangles in Geometry
In geometry, a scalene triangle is a triangle with all three sides of different lengths. This means that none of the sides are equal to each other, and all three sides have different lengths.
For example, a triangle with sides measuring 5 cm, 7 cm, and 9 cm is a scalene triangle because none of the sides are the same length. In contrast, a triangle with sides measuring 3 cm, 4 cm, and 5 cm is an isosceles triangle because two of the sides (4 cm and 5 cm) are the same length.
