Understanding the Scapulae: Functions, Attachments, and More
The scapulae (plural of scapula) are the shoulder blades, which are bones that connect the arm to the body. They are triangular in shape and are located on either side of the rib cage, just below the neck. The scapulae serve as a point of attachment for muscles that move the arm, and they also help to provide stability and support for the shoulder joint.
