Understanding the Term "Granddad"
Granddad is a term used to refer to one's paternal grandfather, i.e., the father of one's own father. So, if your father's father is still alive, you would call him "granddad." If he has passed away, you might use the term "late granddad" or simply "granddad" to refer to him.
