Understanding Zoom: A Guide to Adjusting Scale in Web Browsers and Software
Zoom is a feature in web browsers and some other software that allows you to change the scale of a view. When you zoom in, the view becomes larger and more detailed, and when you zoom out, the view becomes smaller and less detailed. This can be useful for looking at content on a website or document that is too small to see clearly, or for getting a better overview of a large image or document.
In web browsers, you can usually zoom in and out using the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Plus sign (+) to zoom in and Ctrl+Minus sign (-) to zoom out. Some browsers also have a zoom control or magnifying glass icon in the toolbar that you can use to zoom in and out.
Zoom can also refer to the act of adjusting the scale of an image or document using this feature. For example, "I had to zoom in to see the fine details in the picture" or "I had to zoom out to get a better overview of the document."
