What is an Evertebrate?
Evertebrate means "having a backbone or spinal column" and it is used to describe animals that have a vertebral column, which is a column of vertebrae that runs along the back of the animal. This includes all animals that have a backbone, such as mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish. In contrast, invertebrates are animals that do not have a vertebral column, such as insects, worms, and mollusks.
