What is Monometric in Mathematics?
Monometric means that a function has only one metric, or scale, associated with it. In other words, the function has only one parameter that determines its shape and size.
For example, a linear function like f(x) = 2x + 3 has only one metric (the slope of 2), so it is monometric. On the other hand, a function like f(x,y) = x^2 + y^2 has two metrics (the scales of x and y), so it is not monometric.
