What is Uncircumvented Traffic in Network Security?
Uncircumvented means not blocked or hindered. In the context of network security, uncircumvented traffic refers to network traffic that is not being routed through any security devices or inspection points.
For example, if a company has a firewall installed in their network, all incoming and outgoing traffic must pass through the firewall before it can reach its destination. If a user tries to access a website that is blocked by the firewall, the request will be rejected and the user will not be able to access the site. In this case, the traffic is circumvented by the firewall because the user's request is being blocked.
On the other hand, if a user tries to access a website that is not blocked by the firewall, the request will be allowed to pass through without any inspection or blocking. This is an example of uncircumvented traffic because the request is not being blocked or hindered in any way.
