What does "unmuted" mean in audio terms?
In the context of audio, "unmuted" refers to a situation where a microphone or other audio input device is no longer muted, meaning that it is now active and able to capture sound.
When a microphone is muted, it is disconnected from the audio chain and cannot transmit any sound to the receiving end. When the microphone is unmuted, it becomes connected to the audio chain again and can transmit sound as usual.
In other words, unmuting a microphone allows the audio signal to flow through it again, so that the sound can be heard by the listeners or recorded by the device.
