How Speakers Work: The Importance of the Exciter

In the context of a speaker or other audio device, an exciter is a component that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy, causing the speaker to vibrate and produce sound. The exciter is typically a small electromagnetic coil that is attached to a diaphragm (a flexible material that vibrates when an electric current is applied to it).
